k8ie

(aka Katie Cunningham) (she/her) is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. An early graduate of the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music (NYU ‘20), k8ie is a multi-hyphenate Alternative RnB artist. Growing up between Colorado and California, k8ie has been songwriting and singing for over a decade. k8ie is the recipient of the BMI Foundation’s 2019 John Lennon Scholarship, wherein she was awarded second place. In 2020, she performed background vocals on Dermot Kennedy’s “Outgrown” from his sophomore album Without Fear (2020). She has written and featured on Drea’s debut album Candid (2023) on “digital love” and “familiar emotions.” k8ie is currently writing and in the planning process for her long-awaited debut EP, which will be recorded in Spring 2025.
