it’s k8ie.

“k8ie” is the artist project of Katie Cunningham, a 27-year-old vocalist, instrumentalist, and songwriter with an affinity for the number eight. She graduated from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in 2020 and is now based in Fort Collins, CO. She blends vulnerable lyrics, soulful melodies, and groovy instrumentation into jazz-inspired alternative R&B, citing Amy Winehouse, ELIZA, Jai’len Josey, Mac Ayres, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Doechii as her main creative influences.

She is releasing her debut EP, “classified,” on August 8, 2026.
